EssilorLuxottica has kicked off 2025 with impressive growth, reporting revenues of €6.85 billion in the first quarter. This marks a significant increase of over 8% compared to the same period last year. The company has seen strong performance in both its Professional Solutions (PS) and Direct to Consumer (DTC) channels, highlighting the success of their strategies in different markets.
Regionally, the company is thriving. In Europe, the Middle East, and Africa (EMEA), revenue grew by 10%, thanks to a solid performance in both sales channels. North America posted a respectable 4% growth, showing strong trends in direct consumer sales. Meanwhile, the Asia-Pacific region exceeded expectations with double-digit growth, driven particularly by successful myopia solutions in China. Latin America also contributed to the positive trajectory with a nearly 9% increase.
Within their product lines, Ray-Ban Meta continues to shine, thanks to its high adoption of Transitions lenses. Additionally, the company launched Nuance Audio in France after successes in the US and Italy, with plans to expand to the UK and Germany soon. EssilorLuxottica is also pushing forward in the wearables and med-tech sectors, with exciting developments in myopia management and new product launches.
