Rain Couldn’t Stop the 12th Annual Women’s 100 in Essex County

What a day it was! On Sunday, September 21, 2025, women from across Essex County came together for the 12th Annual Women’s 100, hosted by Cycle Culture. Even with the rain pouring down, nothing could dampen the energy, spirit, and determination of these incredible local cyclists. From start to finish, the event was a true celebration of resilience, community, and the unshakable power of women’s cycling.

Riders had the choice between the 100-minute Urban Ride and the 100 km Road Ride. Despite the wet conditions, every participant clipped in, pedaled out, and embraced the challenge with grit and grace. Whether cruising along local trails or pushing through the longer road route, each cyclist showed that this event is not just about the distance—it’s about the journey and the friendships formed along the way.

Some might have seen the rain as a reason to stay home, but these women turned it into fuel. Every splash of water became a badge of honor, and every mile covered was an accomplishment worth celebrating. The cheers at the finish line rang even louder because of it.

After the rides, participants gathered at Frank Brewing Co. to refuel and connect over food, drinks, and laughter. The celebration highlighted once again that the Women’s 100 is more than just a cycling event—it’s about community, support, and lifting each other up on and off the bike.
